Welcome to
Founded in 1989 and headed by the Professor Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann. This truly interdisciplinary group works in the field of Computer Graphics, Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds. The group works under the umbrella of the Centre Universitaire Informatique (CUI), University of Geneva in Switzerland.
This yeaR, the International Conference on Computer Animation, Social Agents, and Extended Reality (CASAXR)is organized by MIRALab, University of Geneva, Switzerland together with the Computer Graphics Society (CGS) and will be held at Campus Biotech, Geneva, Switzerland, from June 1-3, 2026 .

Our Expertise
Our experienced team specializes in modeling digital humans and digital twins for a wide range of applications, including healthcare, cultural heritage, digital fashion shows, and e-learning. We also work in social robotics. One of our most well-known humanoid robots, Nadine, has been developed to act as a receptionist or social companion, particularly in settings such as elderly care homes.
Since 1989, MIRALab has produced several multimedia documents like movies and pictures. The “View All” button is linked to a list of all movies created by the MIRALab team for live shows, exhibition, festivals and research.
